Privacy Policy — Disha (Personality & Career Profile, India Edition)

Disha ("the App") is a self-assessment tool that helps students and young professionals in India reflect on their personality traits and explore suitable career directions, using a widely-referenced framework (Holland Codes / RIASEC) adapted to the Indian education context.

This Privacy Policy is the single most important thing to know about Disha: the App does not collect, transmit, store on any server, or share any of your personal information. Everything you type stays on your own device.

1. What information the App asks for

To generate your personalised report, the App asks you to enter information such as:

• Your name, date of birth, place of birth, gender, city, and mother tongue
• Family background (parents' names, education, and profession)
• Academic record (school board, marks/percentage, stream, college details)
• Extra-curricular achievements and activities
• Your answers to a personality (RIASEC) questionnaire and work-preference questions
• Optionally, a summary of an existing special-educational-needs (SEN) assessment, if you choose to include it

2. How this information is used and stored

All of the information above is processed entirely on your own device, inside the App's local screen. It is used only to calculate your personality scores and generate the report you see on screen. The App:

• Does not send any of your data to us or to any third party
• Does not use the internet or require an internet connection to function
• Does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind
• Does not save your answers permanently — closing the App, restarting it, or tapping "Start Over" clears everything, since nothing is written to persistent storage

Because no data ever leaves your device, we have no access to, and never see, anything you enter into the App.

3. Permissions

The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, storage, or any other sensitive device permission. It also does not require an internet connection.

4. Children's privacy

Disha is designed as a self-guided reflection tool primarily intended for secondary/senior-secondary students and young adults exploring career options. Because the App keeps all information on-device and never transmits it anywhere, no personal data of any user — including children — is ever collected, stored remotely, or shared. We encourage a parent, teacher, or guardian to be involved when the App is used by a younger student, particularly for the optional learning-support (SEN) section.

5. Third-party services

The App does not integrate any third-party SDKs, advertising networks, or analytics services. It also does not offer in-app purchases.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy is ever updated, the revised version will be posted at this same web address with an updated "Last updated" date.
