CostCompass: Cost of Living is developed and published by PCS Solutions. This policy explains how the app handles information on your device — because it collects nothing, there is very little to explain, but we want to be explicit about it.
To generate your personalised cost-of-living estimates, comparisons, and budget breakdowns, the app asks you to enter details such as:
All of this stays on your device. The app has no internet permission, so none of it can be transmitted anywhere — not to PCS Solutions, not to advertisers, not to any third party — even if we wanted to. Calculations happen entirely on your phone using reference data bundled inside the app.
If you choose to export an analysis as a PDF, the app hands that off to your device's own built-in "save as PDF" function. The file is generated and saved locally on your device — it is never uploaded to PCS Solutions or any server.
Everything you enter is stored locally within the app's own storage on your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing the app's data in your device settings, or remove it entirely by uninstalling the app.
CostCompass is not directed at children and is not designed to appeal primarily to children. Because the app collects no personal data from any user, regardless of age, no children's data is collected, stored, or shared.
Cost-of-living figures, tax rates, and quality-of-life indicators bundled in the app are indicative estimates compiled by PCS Solutions for general guidance only. They are not financial, tax, immigration, or relocation advice, and are unrelated to how the app handles your personal information as described above.
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that requires network access — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above before that version is released.
